More than 585 homes in and around the Paxville area are currently without power due to a tractor-trailer wreck that happened about 6:47 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. 15 South and McLeod Road. Duke Energy estimates that power should be restored by 2:45 a.m. Tuesday for most customers. A tractor-trailer traveling south wrecked into a power pole and another vehicle. The driver was initially entrapped in the tractor-trailer, but was able to get out and walk on his own, with assistance from first responders. A driver and passenger in the other vehicle were not seriously injured, according to reports.
