Betty Rose Rogers Hodge, 66, died Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2016, at Palmetto Health Richland in Columbia.

Born Sept. 14, 1950, in Bishopville, she was a daughter of the late Seldon Preston Rogers and Janie Lee Bell Rogers. She attended Smithville Evangelical Holiness Church where she taught Children’s Church for many years and she was a former cook at the Sandwiche Castle.

Survivors include her children, Edward Larson “Larry” Hodge III (Sarah Alice Miller) of Manning, Frosty Lynn Pollard (Bill) of Dalzell and C.J. Hodge (Nicole Sudhoff) of Alcolu; two brothers, Mac Rogers of Columbia and Bruce Rogers of St. Charles; five grandchildren, Emily Rose Fairly, Alyssa Elizabeth Pollard, Cheyenne Michelle Hodge, Ciara Lee Hodge and Bryson Joseph James Sudhoff; and many special children she raised.

A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, 2016, in the chapel of Stephens Funeral Home, with the Rev. Charles Tony Griffin officiating, assisted by Rev. Mike Murdoch.

Visitation will be an hour prior to the service at the funeral home, and at other times at her children’s homes.
