Nancy Burris Davis, 75, wife of Joseph Edward “Joe” Davis Sr., died Thursday, Nov. 10, 2016, at Palmetto Health Tuomey in Sumter.
Born March 20, 1941, in Baltimore, Maryland, she was a daughter of the late Kenneth Alton Burris Sr. and Dorothy Evans Webb Burris. She was a homemaker and a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church.
Survivors besides her husband of Manning include two sons, Joseph Edward Davis Jr. of Baltimore, Maryland, and Michael Anthony Davis of Essex, Maryland; a daughter, Cynthia Anne Peterson (William) of Perry Hall, Maryland; two grandchildren, Rachel Elizabeth Rother (Chris) of Perry Hall, Maryland, and Lance Corporal Craig Peterson of Cherry Point, North Carolina.
A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 14, 2016, at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, with Father Maximino Tria Jr. officiating.
The family will receive friends immediately following the funeral mass.
Burial will follow at a later date in Baltimore.
