SCDRO opens more intake centers

The South Carolina Disaster Recovery Office (SCDRO) mobile intake centers will be in 15 counties during the week of November 15-19 to accept individual applications for housing recovery related to the October 2015 storm. The mobile offices will serve three counties each day and alternate locations to reach citizens around the state more effectively. Each mobile office will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Mobile Intake Center Schedule November 14-30 Monday, November 14: North Charleston City Hall, 2500 City Hall Lane in North Charleston Andrew Chapel Baptist Church, 3670 Five Chop Road in Orangeburg Summerton Community Resource Center, 1154th Street in Summerton Tuesday, November 15: Miles Road Baptist Church Life Center, 819 Miles Road in Summerville Denmark Train Depot, 12 Baruch Street in Denmark Cross Community Center, 1690 Old Highway 6 in Cross Wednesday, November 16: Greenville County Administrative Office, Conference Room F, 300 University Ridge in Greenville Quick Jobs Center, 900 FR Huff Drive in St. Matthews County Administration Building, 2523 East Highway 76 in Marion Thursday, November 17: Lynchburg Town Hall, 81 Magnolia Street in Lynchburg Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 3208 North Governor Williams Highway in Darlington Horry County Community Development, 1515 Fourth Avenue in Conway Friday, November 18: Town Hall, 101 N. Morgan Ave. in Andrews Greenwood County Library, 600 South Main Street in Greenwood Ruffin Baptist Church, 191 Double Churches Road in Ruffin Saturday, November 19: Santee Family Development Center, 210 Brooks Blvd in Santee Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 3208 North Governor Williams Highway in Darlington Trident Technical College Main Campus in North Charleston, Building 910 on Mabeline Road, Rooms 122 and 123 SCDRO also operates two permanent intake centers located at 318 E. Main Street in Kingstree and 725 Broad Street in Sumter. The permanent intake centers are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The six month intake eligibility period ends April 30, 2017. Citizens may make appointments for intake services at any office by contacting their case manager or contacting SCDRO directly.
