No, you cannot write in a vote for president

You may think Mickey Mouse or Darryl from The Walking Dead are better candidates for Unites States president than those who are currently running for the office. You may think Bernie Sanders was bulldozed during the Democratic primaries, or still want Ted Cruz to be the first conservative president in eight years. But you won't be able to vote for any of them Nov. 8. South Carolina state law prohibits write-in votes for president and vice-president, the only races for which it does so. "The ballots shall also contain a place for voters to write in the name of any other person for whom they wish to vote, except on ballots for the election of president and vice-president," reads state voting law. So, even if you don't write in a fictional candidate as a sign of protest to the 2016 presidential race, you're stuck with the four presidential tickets that will be on the November ballot in South Carolina. That includes Democrats Hillary Clinton and Tim Kaine; Republicans Donald Trump and Mike Pence; Libertarians Gary Johnson and Bill Weld; and Green Party candidates Jill Stein and Ajamu Baraka.
