8 p.m. Matthew update calls for more than 10 inches of rain

The National Weather Service said Clarendon County may receive more than 10 inches of rain during Hurricane Matthew’s trek alongside the South Carolina coast.
The latest was released at 8 p.m., and shows that Matthew has retained its status as a Category 2, and that wind gusts could get to 50 mph in our area.

    Accuweather has been lowballing this storm from the start, when all other indicators and weather folks are saying and have said six to 12 inches.
