Matthew becomes first Cat 5 hurricane in 9 years

The National Weather Service reports that Hurricane Matthew is now the first Category 5 hurricane in the Atlantic i nearly a decade. With maximum-sustained winds of 160 mph, the storm jumped in intensity from a Category 2 to 5 on Friday. The previous strongest storm in the Atlantic basin was Felix in 2007. The storm is projected to head further west, and then north, and will hit Jamaica and Cuba by Tuesday.
