The S.C. Highway Patrol is reporting a wreck with injuries blocking the roadway at Furse Road and Summerton Highway.


Hermine tracking out of Midlands

The western parts of the Midlands are beginning to see the end of Tropical Storm Hermine, whose center was est of Summerville about 5 p.m. Friday. Maximum sustained winds have been about 50 mph, with gusts as high as 60.
The storm is expected to continue on a northeast path through North Carolina and the Outer Banks before returning to the Atlantic and regaining hurricane strength as it heads to New England.

The S.C. Highway Patrol is reporting a wreck with no injuries at the 126 mile-marker in the northbound lanes of Interstate 95.

Duke Progess Energy is reporting a power outage for more than 1,060 residents in the Summerton area. No estimated time of restoration has been given.


Flash Flood Warning extended to 8 p.m.

The National Weather Service out of Columbia has extended a flash flood warning planned to end at 4 p.m. through 8 p.m. Friday.

Duke Energy is reporting abouty 1,326 customers without power currently, with the majority of them – 838 – in the Turbeville area. Estimated time of restoration is 8 p.m.

350 without power in Manning, Alcolu
