Dr. Margaret Victoria Anne Ridgeway and Mr. Richard Anthony Pollard were united in marriage Saturday, Sept. 10, 2016, at First Baptist Church in Manning.
The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Robert L. Ridgeway III of Manning, and the granddaughter of Mrs. Nettie Ridgeway, the late Mr. Robert L. Ridgeway Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Martin, and the late Rev. Doc W. Collins. She graduated from Laurence Manning Academy, Furman University with a bachelor of science in biology, and Georgia Campus-Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine with a doctorate in osteopathic medicine.
She completed an anesthesiology residency at Largo Medical Center and a pediatric anesthesiology fellowship at Akron Children’s Hospital. She is employed as a pediatric anesthesiologist by Carolina Anesthesiology Associates.
The groom is the son of Ms. Rosemary Pollard of Largo, Florida, and the grandson of Mrs. Sheila Pollard, the late Mr. Richard Pollard Sr., Ms. Nancy May Brady and the late Mr. Richard Brady. He graduated from Norcross High School and Bob Hogue School of Real Estate. He is employed as a real estate agent with Keller Williams Realty.
The Rev. Ray Rodriguez officiated the ceremony. Music was provided by Mrs. Kathy Gatlin, organist, and Mrs. Heather Vining and Mr. Danny Sharpe, vocalists.
Given in marriage by her father and mother, the bride wore a white lace and tulle ball gown by David Tutera featuring a sweetheart neckline and hand-beaded jewels with a chapel length train. Her royal length veil was custom made with hand sewn lace trim and embellishments. Her necklace held a pendant made from wedding bands worn by her mother and grandmother. She carried a bouquet of white roses tied with white ribbon.
Mrs. Heather Vining, cousin of the bride, served as matron of honor. Miss Brigitte Shumpert, cousin of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids included Mrs. Caroline Ridgeway, sister in law of the bride; Dr. Daveda Maharaj; and Dr. Deedee Nguyen.
Mr. Graham Powell served as best man. Groomsmen included Mr. Robert L. Ridgeway IV, brother of the bride; Mr. Mark Routman; Mr. Cory Cragle; and Mr. Mark Mayleben.
The rehearsal party was given by the groom’s mother at D&H Barbecue in Manning.
The reception was given by the bride’s parents at Victoria’s Garden in Manning.
The couple now resides in Columbia.
