Police seeking Summerton man missing from Sumter nursing facility

Sumter Police are currently looking for a 75-year-old man who was last seen on foot about 8 p.m. Monday night leaving the Carriage House at 31 N. Main St. in Sumter. Leroy Wilder, formerly of the Silver and Summerton areas, suffers from dementia and is known to associate with motorcycle riders. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, black shoes and a long camouflage jacket. He is described as a black male standing 5-feet-11 and weighing 142 pounds. Anyone with information about his whereabouts should call the Sumter Police Department at (803) 436-2700 or dial 911 in case of an emergency.
