A 23-year-old Manning man was charged about 6:05 p.m. Sept. 13 with malicious injury to personal property after allegedly damaging his sister-in-law's wooden door, causing about $150 in damages. According to reports, police found Phillip Rasheen Mallette, 23, of 6862 Moses Dingle Road in Manning, during a traffic stop near Toccoa Drive, shortly after Mallette was alleged to have beaten on the door at a home there. A 30-year-old woman living at the home said her husband called her to tell her to lock the door, that Mallette called and said he was coming to kick the door in, and that he was threatening to kill his mother and two brothers, according to reports. Mallette told police that he is tired of people talking about his dad, and that his mom and brothers like to talk trash. Police observed two holes in the wooden door to the home located under the carport, and placed Mallette under arrest and took him to the Clarendon County Detention Center.
