Central Carolina Technical College reported last week that 100 percent of the 2016 graduates of the surgical technology program have passed the National Certification for Surgical Technologist examination on the first try.
The 2016 graduates' 100-percent pass rate for the rigorous national examination on the first attempt is well above the national average of 69.8 percent for 2014, the most recent data available. This is the fifth year that Surgical Technology Program Manager Brie A. Weber has produced a 100-percent pass rate.
