The National Hurricane Center may begin issuing advisories as early as this morning on a classified system that has become Tropical Storm Julia overnight. As of Tuesday night, the storm was a well-defined area of low pressure along the Florida coastline. It is expected to quickly move up the East Coast, and could become a tropical system today. The system is expected to remain weak, according to the National Weather Service, but it could bring heavy rain to South Carolina, with heavy downpours possible in Clarendon County. Scattered showers will stay in the forecast for most of Wednesday. This storm could bring 2-4 more inches of rain.
