Hermine tracking out of Midlands

The western parts of the Midlands are beginning to see the end of Tropical Storm Hermine, whose center was est of Summerville about 5 p.m. Friday. Maximum sustained winds have been about 50 mph, with gusts as high as 60. The storm is expected to continue on a northeast path through North Carolina and the Outer Banks before returning to the Atlantic and regaining hurricane strength as it heads to New England.
