Three suspects arrested for their alleged roles in a Williamsburg County theft ring will likely face charges in Clarendon County, according to Clarendon County Sheriff's Office Inv. Eric Rosdail.

"After the suspects' arrest, the Williamsburg County Sheriff's Office recovered some property that the suspects had stolen from the New Zion area and then sold in Pamplico," Rosdail said of Tiffany Welch, Curtis Green and Carl Burrows, who were arrested July 22 in Salters when deputies there found them throwing items related to several burglaries from a bridge.

"We are now working to get with the victims from New Zion to see if they are wanting to press charges," said Rosdail. "So, those could be forthcoming."

He said other property believed stolen from Clarendon County actually came from just over the Clarendon-Florence county line.

"It's just over the line on U.S. 378 in the Barrineau area," said Rosdail, so Florence will have those charges. These charges are similar to the ones the suspects already face.

Rosdail said the suspects took from a New Zion home several "old gasoline signs."

"These are antique signs for old gas stations, like Phillips 7t6, Amaco, things like that," Rosdail said. "They then took the signs to like an antique, thrift store place in Pamplico and sold them."

According to a release from the Williamsburg County Sheriff's Office, the suspects stole multiple items and sold them to support a heroin habit.
