Guilty Pleas: Aug. 1-5

The following pleas were heard during a term of Clarendon County General Sessions court held Aug. 1-5 at the Clarendon County Courthouse before 3rd Circuit Judge W. Jeffrey Young. Joseph Dinkins, 308 Eugene St. in Sumter, pleaded guilty Aug. 3 to third-degree domestic violence, and was sentenced to 90 days in jail, suspended to time-served. William Epps, 1125 McArthur Drive in Sumter, pleaded guilty Aug. 1 to second-degree non-violent burglary and grand larceny of a value greater than $2,000 and less than $10,000, and was sentenced to 10 years in prison, suspended to four years in prison and four years' probation. Jason Adam Mathis, 1256 Ray Duke St. in Manning, pleaded guilty Aug. 3 to possession of a controlled substance, first offense, and received a sentence of time-served. He served one day at the Clarendon County Detention Center after his arrest June 17. Antonio Travis Pittman, pleaded guilty Aug. 3 to second-degree non-violent burglary, and was sentenced to 10 years in prison. Ramell Thompson, 2109 Mallette Road in Manning, pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana, first offense, and received a sentence of 30 days in jail, suspended to time-served.
