Guilty Pleas: July 25-29

The following guilty pleas were heard during a term of Clarendon County General Sessions Court held July 25-29 before Judge R. Ferrell Cothran. Ronnie Edgar Cooper Jr., 303 Madison Ave. in Kingstree, pleaded guilty July 26 to forgery of a value less than $10,000, receiving four years in prison, suspended to time-served and one year's probation. William Matthew Geddings, 1224 Geddings Road in Manning, pleaded guilty July 26 to failure to stop for blue light, first offense, and was sentensed to time-served. Geddings had been at the Clarendon County Detention Center since his arrest June 23, according to court records. William Steven Loewen, 321 Summerset Drive in Manning, pleaded guilty July 26 to resisting arrest and was sentenced to time-served. Loewen had been at the Clarendon County Detention Center since June 30. Jason Adam Mathis, 1256 Ray Duke St. in Manning, pleaded guilty July 26 to possession of a controlled substance, first offense, and was sentenced to time-served. Mathis served one day at the Clarendon County Detention Center after his arrest June 17. Cotie Kevin Mulling, 306 Mullinax Lane in Moncks Corner, pleaded guilty July 26 to second-degree domestic vioence, and was sentenced to three years in prison, suspended to time-served and 18 months' probation. Quincy Diamente Simmons, 1476 Lula Lane in Summerton, pleaded guilty July 26 to strong-arm robbery, and was sentenced to five years in prison, suspended to time-served and two year's probation. Earl Mitchell Singletary, 1043 Mickey St. in Turbevile, pleaded guilty to forgery of a value less than $10,000 and received four years in prison, suspended to time-served and two years' probation. Denelle Ann Staton, 1061 Hollywood Drive in Manning, pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine, first-offense, and was sentenced to time-served. Staton had been at the Clarendon County Detention Center since June 26, according to court records.
