Please join us and help Breast Cancer awareness

This letter is written to invite you to a special program in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which will be in October. This program, “Think Pink,” will be held 5 p.m. Oct. 1 at the Manning Junior High School gymnasium. All proceeds will go to benefit the American Cancer Society through Relay for Life Clarendon County. The ticket price is $20 per person; however, organizations and churches may sponsor a regular table for $160 or a platinum table for $300. All monies for tables must be received by Sept. 1. Both tables will accommodate eight persons, but the persons seated at a platinum table will be served their meal, recognized and will receive a special gift. Tables will be available on a first-come, first-served basis based on when payment is received. A souvenir booklet will also be available for purchase for $20. To be featured in the souvenir booklet, you may purchase a one-fourth page ad for $25; a half-page ad for $50; a full-page ad for $100; or be listed as a patron for $10. All monies for ads must be received by Sept. 1. In addition to a catered meal, the program will feature live entertainment and a fashion show. Any cancer survivor, regardless of the kind of cancer, may participate in the fashion show. Likewise, all other persons who are interested may participate as well. The fashion show categories will include casual, sportswear, business attire and formal wear. We are excited about bringing the community together for such a worthy cause. We thank you in advance for your loyal support and participation. It is through caring people like you that we are able to make a positive difference in the lives of others. Tickets or ads for this event may be purchased from me at the Clarendon County Sheriff’s Office; Karen Hilton at The Zone; and Juliette Brunson and Patricia Pringle at the Clarendon County Administration Building.
