Traffic on Interstate 95 near the 105 northbound mile-marker was detoured for about six hours on Saturday after a fatal wreck involving a motor home.

South Carolina Highway Patrol Lance Cpl. Matt Southern said traffic was detoured at Exit 102 to U.S. 301 and U.S. 15, where motorists could then get back on I-95 at Exit 108, or S.C. 102.

Southern said a motor home traveling on I-95 about 4:50 p.m. blew a left front tire, causing the vehicle to run off the left side of the road and strike several trees.

The driver was trapped in the vehicle and died from his injuries at the scene. The driver's identity has not yet been released.
