Heat Advisory issued for Clarendon, surrounding areas

The National Weather Service out of Columbia has issued a Heat Advisory and Hazardous Weather Outlook for Clarendon County, effective throughout Tuesday. Afternoon temperatures about 100 degrees, along with plenty of low-level moisture, will combine to create heat index values between 105 and 109 degrees late this afternoon. Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms will also be possible during the afternoon hours across the area. Strong, gusty winds and small hail will be the biggest threats with the stronger storms.
