Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence John Youngblood of Turbeville announce the engagement of their daughter, Devyn Wingard Youngblood of Turbeville to Nelson Butler Gibbons of New Zion, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alan Levi Gibbons of New Zion.
The bride-elect graduated from East Clarendon High School in 2012, and graduated summa cum laude in May 2016 from the University of South Carolina Upstate with a bachelor of arts degree in early childhood education. She is employed with Clarendon School District 2 in Manning as a teacher.
She is the granddaughter of Mary Lee Wingard of Turbeville and the late James Davis Wingard of Turbeville, and William Louis Youngblood Sr. of Sumter and the late Sandra Westbrook Youngblood of Sumter.
The groom-elect graduated from Manning High School in 2012, and graduated May 2016 from Francis Marion University with a bachelor of business administration degree in accounting. He is employed as an accountant with Gibbons and Company, CPA, PA in Manning.
He is the grandson of Dorothy Jean Gibbons of Turbeville and the late Robert Butler Gibbons Sr. of Turbeville and the late Mr. and Mrs. Allen Nelson Cousar of New Zion.
The wedding is planned for Nov. 19, 2016, at Turbeville Southern Methodist Church.
