Sidewalk construction begins on Huggins Street

Posted on May 4, 2016 10:10 pm by Leigh Ann Maynard

The city of Manning has begun construction on sidewalks for Huggins Street.
The project was made possible, according to Manning Mayor Julia Nelson, through funding awarded through the Clarendon County Transportation Committee in the amount of $207,000.
“The new sidewalk will be installed from Fellowship Church to Bellewood Court,” Nelson said. “This will provide a much safer environment as students walk this route regularly.”
The same area was recently repaved in the past few months with state funding. Nelson said the area – in Manning District 1 – is represented by City Councilman Clayton Pack.
