Monarchs end season with 13th at Lower State

The Monarchs traveled to Hilton Head Island Monday to compete in the Lower State Golf Tournament. Manning finished the 18-hole tournament with a team score of 384. This was good enough for a 13th place finish, the same as the team finished last year. Only the top eight teams at Lower State move on to the State Championship Tournament to be held this weekend. Contributing to the team score for the Monarchs were McArthur Bennett with 80, Robert Dykes with 92, Anders Land with 100 and Hunter White with 112. The tournament was held at Dolphin Head Golf Course, which was designed by golfing legend Gary Player in 1974.
