Important dates and information from Clarendon County Adult Education

Clarendon County Adult Education classes for spring semester will end May 10. Adult Ed will hold its graduation ceremony at 7 p.m. May 12 in the F.E. DuBose Center auditorium. Dr. John Lesaine, a Manning High School alumnus and professor at Newberry College, will be the guest speaker. Adult Ed will have Summer Session I from June 13-30. New students must register and take a placement test at 8:30 a.m. June 13. This is the only new student registration date Adult Ed will offer in June. Classes will meet from 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Thursday from June 13-30. Returning students must have the approval of staff to attend summer classes. WorkKeys testing and the opportunity to earn a national career readiness certificate will continue at 8:30 a.m. Wednesdays through the end of June. The tests are free and open to community members. Please call (803) 473-2531 to register. The 2016-17 school year will begin with registration and orientation for all students Aug. 22-23. Classes will begin Aug. 29 at the F.E. DuBose location.
