The students of Manning Early Childhood Center are looking for your votes to help them with a garden at the school.
The students will do "just about everything for this garden at Manning Early Childhood Center," according to the garden's entry at Opal Apples. The only thing teachers will do is plan the timelines and facilitate the phases of planting through harvest.
One class has already started to pull weeds to prepare the gardening area. Students will learn to cultivate a positive environment from building, planting and caring for a living, breathing garden. In the end, students will concot a salad made from the vegetables they grew and share with as many people in the school as possible.
