Sharon Cartledge has 11 years of teaching experience, all of them with Clarendon School District 2. She has been named the Manning Elementary School Teacher of the Year. A sixth-grade teacher of English language arts and social studies, she has a bachelor of science in elementary education from Lander University and a master’s degree in divergent learning from Francis Marion University. “The most rewarding part of my career is seeing students grow and mature,” Cartledge said. “It is a wonderful feeling to witness a student develop a love for learning and understanding of the content. Seeing my students success in whatever journey they embark upon is the ultimate reward.” She is a member of Providence Baptist Church, where she is the youth director and a choir member. She also serves as an assistant Sunday school teacher and on the Children’s Committee. She is married to Matthew Cartledge and is the daughter of Eldridge and Sharon Davis.
