New Zion native Drue Floyd is past her first week as Miss Clarendon 2016.

A graduate of East Clarendon High School who is now attending Central Carolina Technical College, Floyd has an ultimate dream of becoming a speech language pathologist.
"I will be able to help those who are having problems speaking or swallowing," she said. "I will also be able to leave work every day knowing that I am doing something that will make a difference in someone else's life."
