The Clarendon County Narcotics Unit, along with the Special Response and K-9 teams, served a warrant March 7 on a local home, leading to the arrest of five suspects and the seizure of more than 50 grams of illegal narcotics and a handgun. Those charged with trafficking in cocaine, possession with intent to distribute marijuana and possession with intent to distribute marijuana in proximity of a school or park include Quinton Oneil Jackson; Antinio Gibson; Robert Lang; Meer Eric Simon; and Terrell Lawson. Sheriff Randy Garrett said his deputies were searching specially for Jackson and Lang, who were wanted on narcotics and domestic violence warrants, respectively. “Once deputies entered the (home), they found numerous subjects inside, including the two wanted subjects and four others,” Garrett said. “Two of the suspects jumped through a glass window in an attempt to evade deputies.” Garrett said that one of the suspects who jumped through the window was ultimately detained. He said another suspect is still at large. “In plain sight in the (home), deputies noticed what they believed to be crack cocaine,” Garrett said. “The scene was secured and another search warrant was signed in order for a search for other narcotics.” That warrant found 35 grams of crack cocaine, 24 grams of marijuana and a handgun.
