PAXVILLE – Floyd Lemuel Scott, 64, husband of Alice Marie Ridgill Scott, died Sunday, Marc h13, 2016, at Palmetto Health Tuomey.

Born Sept. 29, 1951, in Manning, he was a son of the late Richard Manning Scott and Gladys Myrtle Kolb Scott. He was a graduate of Middleton High School in Charleston. He retired from F.D. Scott Rental Properties and he was a member of Paxville Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of Paxville; a daughter, Kelly Shanette Scott (Ray Geddings) of Paxville; three brothers, F.D. Scott (Gayle) of Summerville, Leslie Scott of Charleston and Stanley Scott (Susan) of Ladson; three sisters, Carrie Lee Ardis of Paxville, Gladys Burke (Bob) of Santee and Annette Ridgill of Pinewood; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Myrtle Poston; and five brothers, Richard Scott, Wallace Scott, Everette Scott, Wayne Scott and Ronald Scott.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 16, 2016, in Paxville Cemetery, with the Rev. Jim Johnson and the Rev. Dale Turner officiating.

Eddie Scott, Joey Archibald, Ricky Rogers, Chuck Ard, Shannon Pack and Daniel Gandy will serve as pallbearers.

Barry Ardis, Byron Ardis, Wallace “Bubba” Hennies, Kenny Scott and Leon Graham will serve as honorary pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at the home of his sister, Carrie Lee Ardis, 10263 Scott Ave., U.S. South in Paxville.
