The state Department of Natural Resources have recovered the body of a 73-year-old Lake City man who went missing on Lake Marion in Clarendon County more than two weeks ago. Deputy Coroner Bucky Mock declared George Bell dead Monday morning, shortly after the man's body was found about 8:40 a.m. between Green Island and Randolph's Landing. "He was right at the mouth of the big part of the lake," Mock said. Bell was one of two men who drowned in Lake Marion after a boat capsized Feb. 20 between Eagle Point and Lakevue Landing. Divers searched for about four days before recovery efforts continued solely on the surface and by air. Mock identified the other man - who was recovered by nearby boaters on the day of the incident - as Rufus Hannah, 57, also of Lake City.
