State Department of Natural Resources divers found the body of a motorist who went off the Lake Marion Bridge late Sunday evening during a vehicle wreck. Capt. Robert McCullough said divers found the body about 3 p.m. Monday after searching all day. According to the S.C. Highway Patrol, the wreck happened about 8:40 p.m. Sunday when a vehicle ran into the guardrail on the Interstate 95 bridge about mile-marker 101 in the northbound lanes. The vehicle was then hit by another vehicle, and the first vehicle's driver was reported missing after the wreck. Lance Cpl. Sonny Collins reported Monday that the driver of the other vehicle did not have any apparent injuries. The wreck shut down traffic on the north side of the bridge for about three hours. The driver's identity has not been released, pending notification of immediate family.
