MYRTLE BEACH - Bobby Allen "Slim" Evans Jr., 29, died Saturday, Dec. 26, 2015.

Born Aug. 26, 1986, in Charleston, he was a son of Tammy Musgrave and Bobby Allen Evans Sr. Slim enjoyed wake boarding with his buddies, NASCAR and both Dale Earnhardt Sr. and Jr. He enjoyed hunting with his boys, four-wheeling, fishing and lived life every day like it was his last.

He always told you, "Aunt Gail and others, I love you," and you knew he meant it. There was always a smile on his face, he gave the strongest warm hugs, never met a stranger and loved Gamecock football and volleyball and the boathouse.

He loved the need for speed - the faster the better - along with rain, the beach or any body of water and his daddy's boy, Marley. He was never on time (SAS).

Being a role model to both Christopher and Travis was one of his greatest joys and there was not a lesson he could not teach them because he had done it all. He loved the mountains, traveling to Costa Rica and he hated sitting still. Slim was the most loving mama's boy any mother could ever ask for. He was a 100-percent mama's boy, he would always smile and look up at her and say, "It's you and me against the world and I will always take care of you mom." His best saying he would say and live by is, "Don't sweat the small stuff, it's all small stuff."

Slim would stretch his arms as wide as he could and say, "He would always love me, protect me and I love you a whole bunch." He loved life like no other with all his heart and some people can't be a true good friend to one person, but he was to so many people that you would lose count. "Now damn it boy, let's go."

Survivors besides his parents and wife of Myrtle Beach include two stepsons, Christopher Allen Owens and wife, Leslie, and Jerry Travis Polson III, both of Myrtle Beach; a step grandson, Lucas Owens of Myrtle Beach; his maternal grandparents, Blaine and Dorothy Musgrave Sr. of Georgetown; his paternal grandparents, Richard Evans of Manning and Virginia; two aunts, Gail Miler and husband, Allen, and Amy Prosser, both of Georgetown; an uncle, Blaine Musgrave Jr. and wife, Pauline of Georgetown; his beloved dog, Marley; and a number of great-aunts great-uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service celebrating his life will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2016, at McMillan-Small Funeral Home, with Dr J. Kirk Lawton Jr. officiating. The family will have a time of fellowship and remembrance following the service at the Boathouse in Myrtle Beach.
