SUMMERTON - Larry Herbert Lee, 72, husband of Lynda Pugh Lee, died Saturday, December 5, 2015, at his home.

Born May 30, 1943, in McBee, he was the son of the late Sam Herbert Lee and the late Kate Knight Lee. He was a US Air Force veteran and a member of the SC Aerial Applicator Association. Larry was an avid hunter and outdoorsman who led a 30 plus year career in crop dusting by way of his company, Lee’s Flying Service. He took pride in helping others and leaves a legacy of commitment, hardwork and respect.

Survivors besides his wife of Summerton include a son, Lyle Harrison Lee (Allison) of West Columbia; a daughter, Kate Lee Shivley (Andrew) of Grand Prairie, TX; two sisters, Ann Lee Steigerwald of Pennsylvania and Sammie Lee Jones of Lugoff; and two grandchildren, Mackenzie Addison Shively and Natalie Lee Shively.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Jean Plyler.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, December 9, 2015, at his residence, 4561 Nelsons Ferry Road, Summerton, with Robert W. Jonte, Jr. officiating.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, December 8, 2015, at the residence.
