A man at a business in the first block of North Brooks Street told the Manning Police Department about 3:26 p.m. Nov. 3 that a woman entered the store and attempted to sell a $400 cell phone that came back as stolen from its original owner when he checked on it. The suspect told the owner of the store that she allegedly found the phone at a store on West Boyce Street in the parking lot about two weeks before she tried to sell it. Asked why she didn't call law enforcement, she said she was hoping to get money for the phone.
