I am thankful for how the residents of South Carolina have handled the horrific and catastrophic incidents that occurred this year. There are too many to name, but especially the Emanuel 9 attacks this past summer and the recent flooding. Even through the worst of times, we have shown restraint, understanding, compassion and sharing spirits of love.

Next, I am thankful for my husband, Mitchell, and son, Josh, who bless my life greatly. I am also blessed with several close friends, whom I cherish. I am thankful for a job I enjoy, my Summerton Baptist Church family and the people of Clarendon County, a community who took me in as one of their own just five years ago.
