GREELEYVILLE – Former Williamsburg County Supervisor Alex Chatman, 72, husband of Mariah Williams Chatman, died Thursday, Nov. 26, 2015, at Carolina Hospital in Florence.
Born Oct. 7, 1943, in Greeleyville, he was a son of the late Oscar Chatman and Alma Montgomery Chatman.
Services will be announced by Samuels Funeral Home LLC of Manning.

Born April 1, 2008, in Clarendon County, she was a daughter of Ivy Felder and Travelle (Lakesha) Myers. She was a second-grade student at Manchester Elementary School in, Pinewood.
Survivors besides her parents include two brothers, Zion Myers and Elijah Prince; her paternal grandparents, Willie and Jessie M. Iasya Charelle Cooke, 5, died Monday, Nov. 23, 2015, at her home.
Born May 24, 2010, in Clarendon County, she was a daughter of Ivy Felder and Gartrell Cooke. She was a kindergartner at Manchester Elementary School in Pinewood.
Survivors besides her parents include her paternal grandparents, Mary Samuel and Michael Sanders; her maternal grandparents, Thomas (Marguerite) Thames and Julia Felder Singleton; her maternal great-grandmother, Minnie Billie; five aunts, Tamara Cooke, Katorrah (Carl) Williams, Shantrell Thames, Iris Felder and LaToya Canty; an uncle, Justin Felder; the extended Myers family; and a number of other relatives and friends.

Robert Felder, 79, husband of Catherine English Felder, died Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2015, at Clarendon Memorial Hospital.
Born July 21, 1936, in Sumter, he was a son of the late Willie Felder Sr. and Viola Bracey Felder Palmer.
The family will received friends at the home, 1005 Spaulding Ave. in Sumter.
Funeral plans are incomplete and will be announced later by Job’s Mortuary Inc., 312 S. Main St. in Sumter.


Mary Michael Windham to be presented by Lord Clarendon Cotillion

Mary Michael Windham, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Emory Windham, will be presented by her father Dec. 19 during the Lord Clarendon Cotillion’s annual ball at Sunset Country Club in Sumter. Her escorts will be Don Cagney Brunson III and Thomas Kirk Walker. Mr. William Ceth Land is president of the Lord Clarendon Cotillion. Mrs. James Barry Ham is ball chairwoman and Mrs. Theodore Mitchell Gardner is debutante chairwoman. Windham will be one of five debutantes presented. The other four will be posted throughout the week on manninglive.com.

NEW ZION – David Luther Ice, 79, husband of Bertie Mae Welch Ice, died Wednesday, November 25, 2015, at his home.

Born March 6, 1936, in Morgantown, WV, he was a son of the late Richard Luther Ice and the late Myrtle Myrl Wines Ice. He was of the Church of God faith and he was an avid CB user with the handle of “Double Eagle”.
