The following pleas were heard Nov. 17 before 3rd Circuit Judge R. Ferrell Cothran during a term of General Sessions Court in Clarendon County. Herbert William Anderson IV of 420 N. Salem Ave. in Sumter pleaded guilty to shoplifting, enhanced, of a value of $2,000 or less, receiving a sentence of 30 months in prison. Daniel M. Brunson of 1774 Loss Brook Road in Manning pleaded guilty to second-degree burglary, non-violent, receiving a sentence of two years, suspended to 18 months. Ricky Coard of 4509 Rev. J.W. Carter Road in Summerton pleaded guilty to the manufacture, distribution, etc., of crack-cocaine, receiving a sentence of 10 years, suspended to 18 months and two years’ probation. Carlos Antonio Grooms of 230 Eargle Drive in West Columbia pleaded guilty to possession of a Schedule I or II narcotic substance, receiving a sentence of two years, suspended to time-served and two years’ probation. Antwan Turmaine McFadden pleaded guilty to hit and run with property damage, receiving a sentence of 90 days in jail Darnell Roberts of 143 Nelson Circle in Manning pleaded guilty to distribution of an imitation controlled substance, receiving a sentence of time-served. He served one day in the Clarendon County Detention Center after his arrest July 5. Frederick Jamal White of 1137 Otto Road in Manning pleaded guilty to the manufacture, distribution, etc., of cocaine base, first offense, receiving a sentence of six years and $1,000, suspended to time-served, a $300 fine and one year probation. D’Mikel Naqwan Woods of 1906 S. Main St. in Alcolu pleaded guilty to failure to stop for blue light, receiving a sentence of time served. He served one day in the Clarendon County Detention Center after his arrest March 25.
