Halloween festivities planned for today

Clarendon County residents have a plethora of fun opportunities, on top of trick-or-treating, today starting with Trick-or-Treat on Main Street from 2-4 p.m. at the Red Barn at Municipal Park. At 3 p.m., First Baptist Church of Manning will hold a Trunk-or-Treat to coincide with the church's tour of its new children's wing. Start Now Community Development Corpotation's Project HOPE Committee will hold a Community Halloween Candy Bash from 3-5 p.m. at Wasau Park, 12 Wausau St. in Summerton. Sen. Kevin Johnson will host his annyal Halloween Fest from 5-8 p.m. at the corner of Boundary and Boyce streets. And HopeHealth Pediatrics will hold its annual Pumpkin Party from 5-7 p.m. at its office at 12 W. South St. And, as usual, trick or treating in Clarendon County and the City of Manning will be from 6-8:30 p.m. Children should be accompanied by parents or guardians at all time, wear reflective clothing and take flash lights. Also, do not eat candy until a parent has been able to inspect it.
