Mr. James Clark Gibbs of Timmonsville announces the engagement of his daughter, Amelia Atkinson Gibbs, to Carson Lee Coker, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lenich Eric Coker Jr. of Turbeville.
The bride-elect is also the daughter of the late Candace Atkinson Gibbs and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Micheal G. Rankin (Meechie) and Mr. William D. Atkinson, all of Lynchburg, and also, Mrs. Ethel Smith Gibbs and the late Mr. Fred Byrd Gibbs Sr. of Timmonsville.
She is currently a student at Francis Marion University majoring in Early Childhood Education.
The groom-elect is the grandson of Mrs. Gloria Phillips Floyd of Turbeville and the late Rev. Merritt Lawrence Floyd of Olanta, and also Mrs. Betty Long Coker and the late Lenich Eric Coker Sr. of Turbeville.
He is a graduate of Central Carolina Technical College with an associate degree in applied science with a major in computer technology. He is employed by Coker Business Systems Inc. of Turbeville as a Technology/IT Specialist.
The wedding is planned for Saturday, May 21, 2016, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Lynchburg.
