A Sumter man headed from Manning was killed about 6:18 p.m. Wednesday on Old Manning Road after a head-on wreck. Sumter County Coroner Harvin Bullock said Zachary D. Secor, 28, of Sumter, was driving a pick-up truck from Clarendon County toward Sumter on Old Georgetown/Manning Road. After just crossing the Sumter-Clarendon county line, Secor's truck hit a vehicle head-on. Bullock said the S.C. Highway Patrol is investigating the details of the wreck. Information about the specifics related to the wreck were not immediately available Wednesday night. Coroners in South Carolina only release information about the deceased after immediate family members have been notified. Bullock said he believes Secor worked in Manning.
