The Clarendon County Sheriff's Office joined with the Summerton Police Department and other local law enforcement agencies Friday to hold National Night Out at the old Scott's Branch High School gymnasium in Summerton. Although the event was moved from its planned Saturday date not to conflict with the funeral services for the late Barbara Brock Garrett, the event still saw a great attendance, organizer Deputy Annett Smith said. The next National Night Out will be held from 6-8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Manning Junior High School gymnasium, 1101 W.L. Hamilton Road in Manning.
