A Second Chance Animal Shelter of Clarendon County will hold its 9th annual Golf Classic on Sept. 12, with registration at 8 a.m. and a shotgun start at 9 a.m., at Wyboo Golf Club, 2565 Players Course Drive in Manning. The cost is $50 per person and $200 per team. The tournament package includes green fees and cart, a continental breakfast, lunch and prizes. Prizes will be based on number of entries. The format is a four-man Captain's Choice, with a 10-point handicap system. Mulligans will be available. Refreshments will be available. Entry forms may be found at A Second Chance Thrift Store in Manning; Manning United Methodist Church; Wen-Lily's in Summerton; the Clarendon County Chamber of Commerce; and Wyboo Golf Club. The shelter is also looking for sponsors. Sponsorships are $225 per hole and team, where the sponsor will have a sign with its name on one of the 18 holes, along with a four-man team entry. Individual hole sponsors are $100.
