LAKE CITY - Lynette E. Cook, 90, widow of Wesley Cook Jr., died Monday, July 27, 2015, at her home, after an illness.

Funeral services were held Thursday, July 30, 2015, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel in Scranton, with burial following at Lake City Memorial Park in Lake City.

The family received friends Wednesday, July 29, 2015, at Carolina Funeral Home in Scranton.

Born Nov. 28, 1924, in Lake City, she was a daughter of the late James Barron Eaddy and Everette Hanna Eaddy. She worked at Wenworth Manufacturing Co. and was a member of Manoah Independent Methodist Church, where she served as Sunday school teacher and pianist for many years.

Mrs. Cook was also a member of the Red Hat Society and the Golden Girls Lunch Group. She loved working in her yard and helping people. Survivors include a daughter, Brenda (Russell) Williamson of Lake City; a son, Jackie Cook of Johnsonville; a grandson, Paul (Kathie) Williamson; and a great-grandson, Ashton Williamson.

Mrs. Cook was preceded in death by her grandsons, Darry Williamson and Rodney Williamson; and her siblings, Adella Lawrence, Ora Mae Humphries, Rosalie Bruce, Myrtle Lyerly, Moody Eaddy, Ezra Eaddy and Wilford Eaddy.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to her caregivers, Shirley Wilson and Agape Hospice.
