The owner of a store in the first block of Sunset Drive told the Manning Police Department about 12:55 p.m. June 19 that a fired employee took deposit records, bank statements, invoices, lottery reports, cash register reports, sales tax reports, daily report sheets, DHEC documents, employee payment sheets, the DRV video system, the copy machine, a number of items from the store shelves and about $16,000. The owner said he'd contacted the employee several times, but that the items had not been returned.
