The Manning Police Department is currently any information on the disappearance of a 15-year-old girl who was last seen about Sunday night at her home in the 200 block of Kensington Pointe.
Inv. Rick Elms said Monday afternoon that Trinity Nguyen, 15, is likely to be with her 39-year-old mother, Diana Dang.
"This is one of those situations where her mother is the non-custodial parent," Elms said. "We are seeking to return her to her proper guardian."
According to reports, 39-year-old Barzan Nguyen told Sr. Cpl. Creighton Cheek about 11 a.m. Monday that he tok his daughter and other children to the movies Sunday night, and that they came home and played games from about 11 p.m. to 12 a.m. He said everyone then went to their rooms for the night.
The father said when he got up Monday morning, his daughter was not in the home. He said about 2 or 3 a.m. Monday that he heard a door shut, but "did not think anything because of it because his son comes in and out," according to reports.
The father said he knew the girl has been Facebook messaging her mother, Dang, a North Carolina resident.
"Nguyen thinks that Dang may have come and picked up the juvenile," reports state.
The father has a court order from North Carolina "stating that he has sole custody of the juvenile," Cheek wrote in his report.
A BOLO (be on the lookout) has been issued in North and South Carolina. The girl does not have a cell phone.
