The National Weather Service in Columbia has issued a hazardous weather outlook for portions of central South Carolina, including Clarendon County, forecasting isolated to scattered severe thunderstorms possible through the afternoon and evening. These storms could bring with them damaging wind gusts as their main threat. Frequent cloud to ground lightning and locally heavy rainfall capable of producing minor flooding are also possible.
