LAKE CITY - Laura Cameron died Thursday, June 11, 2015, at Lake City Community Hospital.
Born July 1, 1922, in Lake City, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Sinclair Cameron. She was a faithful member of Bethel AME Church, where she served on the Missionary Society and with the Senior Choir. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, helping raise many children until her health declined.
She was preceded in death by two brothers; six sisters; a sister-in-law; and a brother-in-law.
Survivors include nieces and nephews, Dorothy Lory and Ronnie Cameron, both of Lake City, Danny R. Cameron of Pikesville, Maryland, Ronald Myers of Goose Creek, Dr. Corine Jennings of Valdosta, Georgia, and Shirley Cameron of New York; and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Thursday, June 18, 2015, at Bethel AME Church, 3507 N. Camerontown Road in Lake City, with the Rev. Zebra Pinckney officiating. Burial followed in Cameron Cemetery, directed by Green's Funeral Home.
