The 75-year-old owner of a pontoon boat parked in the 1000 block of Johndrow Lane in Summerton told deputies with the Clarendon County Sherrif's Office about 10 a.m. June 1 that someone entered the boat and stole about $1,500 worth of miscellaneous items sometime between 4 a.m. June 1 and the time of his call.
According to reports, items stolen included tie-down straps, ropes, a marine battery, swiss army knifes, a first aid trauma kit, binoculars and a tool box, with miscellaneous tools inside. The owner told deputies that all the tiems had his initials imprinted, which would be PVS.
