OLANTA - Elizabeth Floyd, 93, widow of Jack H. Floyd Sr., died Friday, June 5, 2015, in a Florence hospital after an illness.
Born in Florence County, "Sis" was a daughter of the late Noah Gatson Cooke and Willie Daisy Hines Cooke. She was a retired florist and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held Sunday, June 7, 2015, at Bethel Baptist Church, with burial following in the church cemetery, directed by Floyd Funeral Home.
The family greeted friends for an hour prior to services at the church.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Stephen "Steve" Floyd; and an infant daughter.
Survivors include two sons, Jack H. Floyd (Harriett) of Olanta and William Vernon Floyd; a daughter-in-law, Debbie Floyd of Olanta; and a granddaughter, Elizabeth Hope Floyd of Greenville.
