Vacation Bible School opportunities

Summer means no school and kids with lots of free time. It also means Vacation Bible School throughout Clarendon County. Many thanks to Elizabeth Briley for compiling this list of VBS opportunities throughout June and July. If you do not see yours listed, please send all information (times, location, theme, ages welcome, etc.) to editorial@manninglive.com. Greeleyville Baptist Church will hold "Fun Run" followed by Family Fun Day at 8 a.m. Saturday, with outside music from three bands, an inflatable water slide and food. First Baptist Church of Manning will hold "Journey off the Map" from 6-8 p.m. June 7-11 for ages 3 through fifth grade. Snacks will be provided. Pinewood Baptist Church will hold "Journey off the Map" for ages 4 and up from 6-9 p.m. June 7-12. A meal will be provided. Manning New Start Community Church will hold "All Aboard the Joy Express" from 6-8 p.m. June 8-12 for all ages. Food and a water slide will be provided. Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church will hold “Blast to the Past” from 6:30-8:30 p.m. June 10-14, with a cookout and games at 11 a.m. June 13 and a presentation during church June 14. Manning United Methodist Church will hold “Everest” for K5 through sixth grades from 9 a.m. to noon June 15-19. Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church will hold Vacation Bible School from 6:30-8 p.m. June 17-19. Classes will be available for all ages. The public is invited. Horse Branch Free Will Baptist Church in Turbeville will hold “Fun” Run from 6-8:30 p.m. June 15-18 and 6-8 p.m. June 19, for ages 2 and older through fifth grade. A meal will be served. Trinity United Methodist Church in Alcolu will hold “S.C.U.B.A.” from 6-8 p.m. June 21-26. Everyone is welcome and a meal will be served. The Presbyterian Church at Manning will hold “Wild West” for ages 3-10 from 5:30-8 p.m. June 22-25. Dinner will be served. Antioch Missionary Baptist Church will hold Vacation Bible School at 6:30 p.m. June 22-26, with the opening ceremony at 6 p.m. June 22. Home Branch Baptist Church will hold “Journey off the Map” from 6:30-9 p.m. June 22-26 for all ages. Meals will be provided. Summerton Baptist Church will hold “Journey off the Map” from 6-8 p.m. July 12-16 for K3 through sixth grades. A snack will be provided. Emmanuel Baptist Church will hold “The Call of God” from 6-8:30 p.m. July 19-23 for children ages 3 through sixth grade. Think duck calls and camoflauge.
